Blood Passage by Heather Demetrios

2.0

Eh. I enjoyed the first book in this series a lot more than I expected too, but this one was just so much less enjoyable. The plot felt rushed and busy, and the weird pacing meant there wasn't enough emotional payoff where there should have been. I still generally liked Raif and Nalia together, but much of the chemistry from the first book was missing. And yeah, I still hate Malik. He's supposed to be the "bad boy" but he still comes across as an overbearing abuser who keeps forcing himself on Nalia when she repeatedly proves she doesn't want him. I will probably finish this trilogy, but I'm not as excited anymore.
