It took me a while to finish it, but it was such a good book. Overall, I think I enjoyed Mistborn slightly more, just because I was learning the magic system and had Vin learning alongside Kelsier. But there were so many great things that made this book just as special. I really loved Tindwyl, and her interactions with both Sazed and Elend. Elend I already loved, but I especially loved watching him stick to his morals throughout (we love a scholar drenched in delusion). All the political intrigue was fascinating, and everyone's character really showed. The whole traitor arc, while taking up a lot of the book, had a lot of twists and turns that I really enjoyed (particularly the reveal at the end of that saga which broke me a lot). And the love triangle (which again, almost broke me) was really well thought out, and it was really interesting to see all of their different perspectives as they try to balance feelings, duty, and differences. The last 150 pages were peak, I could not stop reading.
Absolutely amazing read, hopefully won't be too long before the next one.
