Halo: Ghosts of Onyx
by Eric S. Nylund
Cliff hanger central. Overall it's a solid book. I like hearing about Spartans other than master cheif. My only problem is the cliff hanger ending because this is the last book in this sub-series and I'm not sure if we find out how blue team gets out of the situation they're in. This book is all about Kurt or spartan 051 and his journey, which was interesting. Kurt isn't like your usual spartan, he's a teacher and mentor. My favorite part of these books is the relationship between Spartans. The little hand signals and the things they communicate with each other just through physical movements is adorable. They love each other, but are never allowed to say that explicitly, because they're professionals and they need to stay level headed. Ultimately, I liked this book and look forward to reading more halo novels.
