I thought the world building was great, the new take on an old monster trope, and the characters were pretty interesting. This is told in first person from the view of the werewolf so you feel the moral ambiguity of wanting to root for this (sometimes awful) person and them brutally murdering people once a month (and then feeling bad about it). It's pretty graphic throughout. But the writing is honestly not good. Maybe it's supposed to be a reflection of the MCs inner dialogue, but eh. It wasn't bad enough to make me quit reading but was cringy at times.
