This book was amazing! Not because of the spectacular story line or the plot structure or the character development or the writing, but simply because it holds a mirror up to society and shows us where we’re headed. It can’t decide if it’s satirical or literal and I very very much enjoyed the moral ambiguity of that. This sequel to “the circle” (which I also loved, but I felt it ended way too abruptly) is the first novel that I have read mention the pandemic in the past tense as a staple in time, which was kind of interesting to see and I also love how the protagonist of the first book becomes the antagonist in this one—yay moral ambiguity!! I love a mind fuck :)
