Takedown Twenty
by Janet Evanovich
It's been an age since I read a Stephanie Plum book, so I reached for this when I finally unpacked the boxes of books that have been in storage while we've been doing renovations at home. And it was like relaxing with an old friend. True nothing ever really changes in Steph's life - she's still juggling Joe and Ranger*, she's still as accident prone as ever and her bounty hunting skills will never improve - but it's fun to follow her around Trenton for a few hours nonetheless.
*In fact I think if Evanovich does ever pick one of the two, the reaction will be similar to that of the Sookie Stackhouse fans at the end of the Southern Vampire series - lots of anger because she won't be able to please everyone!
