I’ve just gotten back into reading again after a several years off the horse. And I’m grateful to all of the stirring memories and emotions this book evoked. I laughed, I cried, I grew increasingly frustrated, and simultaneously sympathetic to our main couple. I enjoyed how Colleen Hoover played with the format when conveying Miles’s POV.
Shifting from center aligned to left aligned once he felt he lost Rachel’s love was a brutal touch.
Tate frustrated me to no end. I was a little underwhelmed by her decision making and wished she displayed more self respect.
I don't understand how we’re supposed to believe everything is supposed to be fine after hearing Rachel’s name while they have sex. It would have been a sweeter reunion if there was more explanation from his POV of what was going through his mind at that moment. I seethed for Tate. Made it hard to want them to get together at all by the end. I appreciated his growth but hated it was at Tate’s expense.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least. I’m glad for the ride.
