Make It So: Interaction Design Lessons From Science Fiction
by Nathan Shedroff
It would be easy for a book like this to quickly become dated, calling as it does on whatever was current technology at the time of writing. I actually found it did very well at covering the general principles with call outs to relevant discoveries and contemporary media but without feeling like it had already fallen behind.
The only thing that lets it down for me is the small print, and something about the layout makes it hard to know whether you've hit the end of a section or not.
