Nearly Dead: Am Ende stirbst du by Elle Cosimano
4.0
I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this book. I kinda jumped into reading this one, it has an amazing cover, as you can see. And it proved to me much more than I expected.
Nearly has always been the odd kid in her high school. And she doesn't really want to have contact with anyone, because she can have impressions of their feelings and thoughts when she touches them. But then strange notes pile up and people die and Reece gets into her life and nothing is the same anymore.
I have always been a HUGE fan of thrillers and mysteries. The thrill of finding out the villain in the story is something I enjoy immensely. And this story provided so much mystery and anticipation, that I loved. This book is perfect on the creepy factor. The neighborhood that Nearly lives in is creepy and dangerous and the things she sees are dangerous, too. It gave a really chilly effect to the story and the plot is swift and interesting, not boring at all.
There is the constant suspicion of every character and you don't know who you can trust or not. Everyone has a motive darker than the one before it. The main characters, Nearly and Reece are both three-dimensional and complicated and lovable, nonetheless. I fell in love with both of them and wanted the best for them both.
The romance is a huge factor in the story. It was not too little and not overdone. I loved the interactions between them and their true care for each other. It felt as real as our own lives. If you are a fan of thrillers and mysteries with an intelligence factor, then this is the one for YOU!
