Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and the author for the eARC, in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the prologue of the book. It had me drawn in instantly. I feel like this story had it great potential, but it was also flat in parts. Or the scenes, could of used more details and elaboration.

An example of this, is the first training session. This was completely non-existent and I was confused by the next page. I'd of liked to have felt if the FMC was weak, strong or had potential. It would of been a great opportunity for character development too.

It was also predictable in areas. I read fantasy and romance/fantasy because I'm addicted. Saying that, this did feel copy and paste of other stories I'd read. I think this is because of the lack of detail. Then my brain just filled in the gaps too easily.

I also do not know what it is about FMC's acting stupid and not doing as they're told! It can not be just me, right? Those moments did make me want to scream a little. πŸ˜…

All in all, I found i enjoyed the book. It's a quick read and yes I would read that is to come next within this world.
