How Can I Help You
by Laura Sims
I'm always hesitant to read fiction written by a "professional"; moreso when it's my own profession. I stand affirmed! The writing itself is Fine. Not my thing, but somebody would enjoy it. The premise is unique, but it reads like somebody playing with dolls, interspersed with dictionary definitions of the library profession. It's really jarring to live in the mind of a Mad Nurse on one page and then read about "the library's role in fostering equity..." like I'm reading a discussion post from an MLIS classmate. This was greatly not for me.
