This was my first novella and I wasn’t sure on what to expect apart from a short story, I was pleasantly surprised with what I received. There’s nothing better than a grumpy x sunshine trope, especially when the grumpy man is a softie for one person and one person only.
While the story was short, there was plenty of chemistry between April and Bridger. I believe in soulmates and I do believe they are meant to be. They fit one another perfectly and compliment each other wonderfully.
While there were some moments where I found things cringey (a certain nickname along with how April was spoke about sexually), I did enjoy this story massively and can’t wait to read the story that it is a prequel to!
