The revenant saved the book for me. Unfortunately, i still feel so underwhelmed. I think there was a lot of info-dumping in the beginning and this could partly be my fault for not checking the synopsis before diving into it. Either way, i still feel like I don't really get the point here. It's just the main character running around and in hiding. Some of the things didn't really make sense to me, and while it seemed like the stake was pretty high, i personally think the execution made it feel so underwhelming. I can say that the only thing i love is how sassy the revenant was and how it talked haha. I think this is a duology and I don't think I'll pick up this sequel; this story really isn't for me.
