Comments: Warning: This book is the second in a series (The Margaret of Ashbury trilogy), the first being A Vision of Light. This is a very good historical fiction novel, set in the later Middle Ages. It is well researched and accurate except for some mystical occurrences that would have been accepted as true in the time but clearly couldn't actually have occurred. Margaret, the main character, is very easy to identify with and the story is very well written. This series is one of the best historical fiction series I know of. However, it deals with a lot of heavy topics and while I think most adult would enjoy it, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone younger than 13 or 14.
