Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver

emotional funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted medium-paced

This book sucked me in in a way very few books can do. I completely forgot everything and everyone around me, mentally I was living in Rose Hill.

This book is an absolute MASTERPIECE. I was in love with Skylar and West the very moment they met, their chemistry is off the charts, the banter is AMAZING and the spice so freaking hot. A country music star and a horse trainer single dad… I mean how can they not be just perfect for each other?! I’m completely obsessed with this romance, I spent 90% of the book smiling and laughing and 10% literally crying. I also want to take a moment to appreciate the emails because they were genius.

Skylar is so fun and wild, her character development gave me the chills especially the moment she decided to drop everything and stand up for herself. I absolutely loved watching her tear down her whole life and find out who she truly is, what she truly loves and what she truly wants to do. And her relationship with Emmy and Oliver was so heartwarming and wholesome.

West is probably the best single dad ever written. His personality, the way he showed up for Skylar, the way he acts with his kids, the tattoos, the descriptions of his looks… He’s just perfect, a golden retriever hero who didn’t like commitment but once he found THE ONE he had no problems fully committing to her.

Wild Eyes easily became one of my top reads from this year. I HIGHLY AND HUGELY RECOMMEND this book, trust me you don’t want to miss out on it.

P.S.: The orange skittles obsession and the orange cover? We love a matching moment.
