I started this series because I enjoyed May Archer's writing so much, and little did I know how interesting this book turned out to be!
So this book is basically a fake dating trope with a twist and it was very fun and something I haven't read before. Brooks hasn't visited Licking Thickets in 10 years, and when his mother asks him to come back, he needs a fake boyfriend so everyone in town believes him when he tells them that's he's gay since 10 years ago, he left town and his then girlfriend Ava, when he came out. Now Ava, is coming back to town as well with her fake boyfriend that is her best friend, Mal. And right from the beginning, Mal and Brooks have a connection...while fake dating their SOs, sounds fine right??
This was a slowwwww burn but I enjoyed it. The small town vibes were super entertaining, as they usually are!
