A really interesting YA retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Novoa did a good job making changes to the plot, characters, and setting beyond the Oliver Bennet character. Part of me missed the countryside setting in the original, but it did make more sense for a London setting in the story the author was trying to tell. It had a wonderfully joyful ending that made me smile. My only issue
was with making Collins and Wickham friends in this version. Their plan to out/trap Oliver by forcing him to marry Wickham seemed a bit forced as a way to avoid the Lydia subplot. It also led me to have worry for Charlotte. Collins is annoying, but not evil, this version of him felt overly conniving/greedy.
The book was an overall fun read and a great edition to my Austen collection!
