What a fascinating read! I really enjoyed how the the mystery of what really happened in that Cote d'Azur mansion just prior to WWII unraveled through the modern day mystery of a missing manuscript. I began to suspect the twist that came at the end of the book part way through the novel, but it did not make the revelation any less satisfying.
