  | This installment was a little harder for me to get into than book one. The first half especially just felt like it was shifting too many perspectives and was a little all over the place. With that said the last half came back together in a great way and I was fully invested. After the first book I was just lukewarm on Ronan he was interesting for sure but I didn't get a good sense of him and this book really does a good job of giving you everything you were missing and by the end had me really rooting for him in every way. Book two does not do a whole lot to advance the groups adventure in finding Glendower its more character driven, diving into the shifting dynamics between them.
