The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker

4.0

This was really good, though I wouldn't have minded another 100 pages or so to really dig into the magic of this world and to cement Elizabeth's total shift in worldview. It felt a little rushed and like Elizabeth immediately flipped from an ideology she grew up believing into fully supporting the other side, and it could have used a little more emotion and tension. The same with
Spoiler John having almost no issues with the woman he fell in love with being a witchhunter. Considering his past, that was hard to believe.
. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the second half of the story.
