Freshmen
by Tom Ellen, Lucy Ivison
I really wanted to enjoy this book and in some ways, I did. My major issue was how the synopsis is misleading. While the promised plot does happen, it is very minimal in the grand scheme of things.
I am an incoming freshmen, so while there is many unnecessary scenes I found it very helpful. It showed the process of making new friends. Along with offering insight on how to balance academics and your social life with newfound freedom.
Some readers might feel that the build up was slow, which is was, but it was also it's own story. This book combined 2 stories. I enjoyed both, but I was also eager to be introduced to what the summary mentioned.
