This book was truly moving. I had seen an interview that the author did a few years ago and was moved to tears. This book was a heart wrenching account of some of the horrors of living under a dictatorship. To hear from the author that she was even more privileged than many of her North Korean counterparts was shocking, considering how much hardship she endured. How brave of her to tell her story, even with the fear of judgement and rebuttal. Park is a strong speaker and a strong writer who survived the unthinkable.
