  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

1.5

- misogyny ✅
- homophobia ✅
- one dimensional female characters where their main contribution to the plot is sexually driven ✅
- female characters that are almost entirely forgotten in scenes they’re a part of until the male POV decides to remember them ✅
- clunky formatting and pacing that makes the book 10x longer than it needs to be ✅
- weird smut scenes that have no actual meaning or purpose ✅
- random romance that has no lead up or any inclination of these two characters even caring for each other like that ✅
- lackluster final battle that I genuinely ended up skimming just so I could be closer to being done reading ✅
- overly poetic prose that makes the story ten times longer than it needs to be ✅
