Through A Glass, Darkly by Donna Leon
4.0

Another enjoyable installment in this series as Commissario Brunetti works on a case involving glass-making on the Venetian island of Murano. As usual Brunetti’s cases showcase both the beauty and history of Venice along with the dangers posed to Venetian life by pollution and corruption. One of the great pleasures of the series is Brunetti’s home life and the meals his wife Paola cooks for him. I was hungry just reading about them. A very entertaining read.
