Haunting, bleak, and beautifully written. I'm so glad I've finally read this because it checks a lot of boxes for what I enjoy in a dystopian novel. The narrator's journey was heartbreaking yet compelling and I felt the hope, despair and loneliness alongside her. This book is a fantastic exploration of what it means to be human and I'll be thinking about it forever.
