If There's No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout

***I'm not giving it a rating in the actual system, because this is firmly a Young Adult novel (although it has tough themes--but honestly high schoolers have tough lives for how long they have lived.) So, continuing a personal policy of not indicating ratings because I'm not who the story is for but rather a summer/review to include content/trigger warnings.

Honestly, I do think this is a book every one should read. Parents, High Schoolers, anyone that interacts with any of those groups. While at the heart it is a friends to lovers story with an added boy/girl next door trope, it deals with things like standing up to friends, drinking, drugs, parties that people like to pretend don't happen in high school, divorce, family drama, and death.

What happens when those things come to a head in the worst way possible?

There are definitely depression/suicide thoughts however, it fits the story and I think it was handled relatively well in terms of how it was presented in the story.

If I was to give it a rating I'd say 3.5 or 4 stars (I will never read it again because I can't necessarily handle having some of the content brought up again) but it is a well written story with character development and a happy ending.
