🌊 The breath between waves 🌊

My GOD this book was amazing!!! Definitely one of my favourite of the year so far 🥺
It’s a historical fiction with a beautiful sapphic romance aboard the titanic in 1912. Penelope is moving from Scotland to New York for her fathers job, and feels very distant from her parents. When she boards the ship, her first trip on a boat ever, she falls in love with her roommate Ruby, who is Irish and has been on many voyages. The two strike up a fierce love within a couple of days, and it was so beautiful and had me on the edge of my seat. Everyone knows that the titanic sinks, so I was waiting for that dramatic turning point in the story and I was not disappointed! A wondrous story of love, family and survival that had a spark of light emanating within it, despite being one of the most darkest moments in history. I highly recommend this and I’m going to be badgering everyone to read it - do it Rn! (It’s comes out today so go grab a copy my loves 🥰)
Trigger warnings: Death, shipwreck, loss.
