The Little-Known Heroes: William Dummy Hoy by Kaushay Ford, Spencer Ford

5.0

Thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Since this is a picture book, the first thing I'm looking at is the style of illustrations. Very different from the first book in this blogpost, but also very beautiful. It's definitely what I like and it reminded me a bit of the drawing style in They Called Us Enemy.

I'm not a big fan of biography books, but I found out I like them as graphic novels. This is a biography in a picture book and that totally fits me! I was so curious about William Hoy, I googled him and went on to read more about him. That's also the only little con I have for this book: I would've loved for it to be longer and tell more about his life and story.

This story is really inspirational and I can see teachers using the book in class with the theme heroes.

I found out there are two more books in this series and I would be thrilled to both read them too!
