My semi-negative review is entirely based on the edition I purchased and not the work of literature. I loved tracking along with the Baylor reading plan and the videos were immensely helpful. To be honest, I would have been utterly lost with them.

While this edition includes the beautiful art of Dore, the tradeoffs are not worth it. First, the font is miserable. It makes the reading so much harder - impossible to distinguish h from b, etc.

Worse, there are no notes - no footnotes, no endnotes. The number of historical allusions is overwhelming without notes to help the reader navigate Dante's poem.

Read this classic work, but pick a different edition.
