The Bribe by Willa Nash, Devney Perry
3.0
Spice: 1/5
Plot: 3/5
McChicken.
Famous singer flees bad situation/record label and runs away to a small town with a new identity where she meets the Sheriff. They fall madly in love, some shit happens and then they get married. Sorry to spoil it? lol
Honestly, nothing stood out to me about this book. I don’t have a single note or annotation, not one. And as I’m writing this, I’m realizing I can’t even remember our main characters names and I just finished it a few days ago, so it was obviously super memorable lol. The writing was decent, but Devney’s books are always decently written. There were no icks, but it was also super bland. If Insta love is your thing, you’ll probably love this book. If it’s not, I’d probably avoid it.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad read it’s just… a McChicken. And if you don’t know what that means scroll back to my review of ‘The One I Left Behind’ and read that.
