I absolutely loved reading this book and cannot wait to return and start at the beginning of the series now that I know there are other books about the Wilde family. One warning to all readers, there is a lot of triggering content in this book that may not be appropriate for a younger audience, so be forewarned this is not for the faint of heart. There are a lot of situations that address real-world problems, bringing about strong feelings of anger toward the injustice the characters go through. That being said there are so many amazing characters that are true heroes in fighting for the safety of the victims, seeking true justice and happiness at whatever cost it may take.

There are a lot of characters with backstories that I want to experience their stories are hinted at throughout the book. Jennifer Ryan has a wonderful way with her writing techniques to spin a tale that is so real that you can't help but love the characters that she introduces. You even feel connected with the "bad guys" for all that you want them to pay for their ill deeds, you realize that everyone is someone's child. Justice must be served and those who cause harm to others need to be punished for their crimes. I highly recommend starting at the beginning of A Dark Horse Dive Bar book series so that you get the full experience of this amazing book series, it's well worth the read!
