Obsidio by Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman

I LOVED THIS BOOK. This was probably the best finale I could have asked for and I'm grateful that I'll have a positive view on the series. I was getting concerned towards the end that beloved characters would die but the authors gave a best-case scenario conclusion.

Ezra and Kady are together.
Nik and Hanna are together.
Katya (the cleverest mouse; little girl) is alive.
Ella is okay.
AIDAN is... in existence?
BeiTech Industry was found guilty.
And they all lived happily ever after.

I finished this book less than five minutes ago so I'm still overwhelmed with emotions.

My favorite part was AIDAN saying:
And together, they walk toward their distant shore.
Some place fine and far from here.

I watch them go.

My heart broke for him and I nearly cried because it was such a bittersweet moment.

Speaking of AIDAN, I could tell easily in Gemina that he was falling in love with Kady. It had been obvious since the first book because every time he would display emotion that a computer technically shouldn't have, he would . It was kind of uncomfortable to hear him tell her he loved her though. I did, however, LOVE how AIDAN kept downplaying his humanity by saying someone needed to be the bad guy.

I know very little else save perhaps this:
that every story needs its monster
and that everybody deserves a second chance
and that I
am
AIDAN

I had chills listening to that!

I just need this trilogy to be a high-budget movie or HBO show. That's all. I loved it so much and it's definitely one of my new favorites. 10/10
