The plot and pretense is interesting and the world building is fascinating but the plot is just a repeat process of the characters finding an artifact or clue, studying it, traveling to a new place, finding a new artificial, and on and on. I love the characters and I think they’re very well written, especially Laila and Zofia, but it was hard to get through because the plot was so slow
