This was an interesting little parable about the Chinese "re-education" program under Chairman Mao. I had no idea things like that were going on as late as the 1970's. Very eye-opening. One of my favorite quotes comes from this book, "To me it was the ultimate book: once you read it, neither your own life nor the world around you ever looked the same."
