The Truths We Hold: An American Journey by Kamala Harris

4.0

After reading this, I am grateful that Kamala is in a position of power and hopeful that her ideals can get through the cynicism of lingering trumpism. I remember the attacks against her during the initial stages of presidential candidacy, especially those that accused her of being complicit as a California prosecutor in racially discriminate drug offense punishments. This book refutes the veracity of those attacks and details the journey of a public servant whose ideals I share. Harris has clearly emerged from attacks like that, and, as an American citizen, I'm proud of her leadership.
