The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
4.0

”There will be a total of six challenges today,” Joshua begins.
“Seven if you include him,” I add and get some cheap laughs.

OHMYGOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Their juvenile banters and games are so childish that it never failed to crack me up. This is not the hating game, this is more like the try-to-not-fall-in-love game. I could not see any actual hatred, really. I wished it would have at least two chapters of it at minimum. But I love how completely different Josh is to Lucy within a minute. Like one minute they would try to run a car over each other, then the other minute they would kiss like it was their last day on earth.

”Thank you so much.”
“You’re not mad I rescued you? Boys don’t need rescuing.” “This one did. And I’ll even let you choose which you wanna be. Thelma, or Louise,”

This book portrays an unusual characters of masculine hero who would not hesitate to take a bullet for the ones he cared about, but also would not reject an offer to be protected by a woman three-quarter of his size. The writing is so captivating and drives me crazy with its slow-burn sexy teasers that I could not put it down. But at the same time the characters are so unbearably childish that I would throw something to their respective face BUT THEY’rE STILL CUTE. How is that even possible.
