UPDATE // ah yes, the dreaded firestar’s quest. i’ve talked a lot of crap on this book mainly because this beginning of this book is SLOW. for chapters firestar & sandstorm are walking. shockingly i stopped at page 199 & then picked the book back up year later after having a need to read warrior cats again & this book is good after the initial first 199 pages. finished this book rather quickly, thought it would put me in a reading slump again. shockingly i think i brought me out of my usual summer-time reading slump. so i give it 3.75 for making me hate everything but also making me love & be obsessed with warrior cats again. also my library didnt have the audiobook for this one so i actually read it. look at me doing difficult things like reading a book that put me into a reading slump.
DNF: i plan on coming back to this book (most likely as an audio book) as i do want to continue reading the warriors series. however, this book is slow. from the point i left off on sandstorm and firestar have been walking for what feels like 80% of the book. ive heard it gets better once they meet the other clan, but the slowness of the beginning annoyed me.
