Fantasticland by Mike Bockoven
4.0
This book is a mix between horror, thriller, and gory. It’s uniquely written in that it reads like it was written by an author creating an exposé about a true event. It’s written unlike anything I’ve ever read before and that made it truly intriguing.
Unlike other books, there is a feeling of dread throughout the entire book because of the series of events that occurred, but it becomes clear pretty early on that there is no nearly tied up ending with one bad guy getting caught or coming to justice. Some might see that as an unsatisfying ending, but I enjoyed the mystery and unfolding of events, and the way no one in the book is an innocent party.
