Firstly thank you Tales & Teacups and Nikki Ashton for the ARC!
The Lilac River was a lovely story I powered through in 2 days. It's a warm, small-town cowboy romance with just the right mix of sweet and sour. Nikki Ashton perfectly captured the charm of a small town community and the emotional depth that comes with healing and second chances.
I was drawn in by the tender moments and the chemistry between the MMC FMC, but what kept me hooked was the emotional complexity beneath the surface. This wasn't just fluff and cowboy hats (though I’m definitely not mad about those) — it had heart, grit, and a few curveballs to keep things interesting. And that lavender farm scene - OMG (IYKYK)!
If you're after a romance that’s comforting without being too sugary, with characters who actually feel, this one’s for you. I can't to start the next book!
