Reread 2021: 3 stars
I initially gave this book 2.5 stars because I thought the ending was pretty anti-climactic and the sex scenes were excessive. I still stand by that but I did actually dislike the ending a little less this time around, so I'm changing my rating to a full 3 stars.

I really liked Georgie and then Georgie and Travis together. But my question is, why the heck is he so horny all the time??? They'll be having a sweet, emotional moment and then there's Travis going on about how hard he is. I just want them to have one hug where he's chill lol. Needless to say, I much preferred Georgie's POV to his but I am glad that this was dual POV story. I just think that dual POV is the superior format for romance novels. I love watching the both sides falling in love.

My thoughts are pretty much the same as they were after the first read. It's fun, light, witty, and a really enjoyable read. Especially as an audiobook! Charlotte North does an amazing job.

Some random notes I had:
  • I can't take Travis constantly saying "babygirl" seriously lmao
  • Did he really have to propose at the end? Couldn't they just get back together?? I mean, they only really started dating not too long ago.
  • The little glimpses into Rosie/Dominic and Bethany was more interesting this time knowing they have their own books!

Overall, I had fun and I'm already 20% through the next book in the series, Love Her or Lose Her and enjoying it! Tessa Bailey really knows how to keep you hooked and write a fun romance.

2019: 2.5 stars
Kind of spoilery below:
This book started off great! I immediately liked Georgie and Travis grew on me pretty soon after. But somewhere around the 65% mark, my enjoyment started to peter out.
I love the fake dating trope and was really excited in the way it was done here, but the end kind of ruined the story for me. It felt a little anticlimactic. The "terrible thing" Travis did was a weird misunderstanding and could've been explained really easily and I don't know, it all seemed kind of pointless. Everything leading up to the end, however, was so much fun. I loved the characters, I loved the the relationship development, and the writing was delightful. Some of the dialogue was so witty I actually let out small laughs.
My main issues with this book comes down to two things, and ultimately they were too big for me to rate this book any higher despite how much I loved the first two-thirds: the ending and the sex scenes.
As I said, the ending was a bit of a letdown and just not as dramatic as it thought itself to be and it was disappointing and rushed. And the sex scenes, dear god. I skipped through so much after trying to read them initially. It was just uncomfortable and bleh, and thrown in way more than necessary.
What I'm going to keep in mind from this book, though, is how much I loved Georgie, Travis, Georgie and Travis, and the fun I had in the first three quarters of the book.
