Yeah no this didn’t work for me. It was incredibly juvenile and sorta aimless.
I was relieved at how short it was when I realized how little I was enjoying the book, but apparently the brevity comes from the fact that this ends on a cliffhanger? Like not a sequel hook for side characters, but a honest-to-God closing of the book before any of our scant conflict was resolved. Man. Wtf.
Anyways, it’s Resident Evil 8’s release week and this book sapped my desire to do anymore reading. Farewell Goodreads, I will return to literacy after I spend 10+ hours of running from sexy vampires in a haunted castle.
