Omg I can’t believe I didn’t leave a review for this the first time around! But that’s ok because I don’t think I’d have been able to say how much I love Oliver and Luc. This was a book I remember buying when reading was still new and feeling so excited to enter another world. Alexis Hall is hilarious and writes characters like no one else. I reread this year and I was nervous that I might’ve overhyped and wouldn’t enjoy it as much but I was so wrong. the witty banter between the two love interest and luc and his coworkers are just a few of my favorite things. and seeing Oliver’s upbringing made you understand this is man who while is seemingly perfect works hard to create that image which is why Lucien is perfect for him and why Oliver’s transparency and commitment and passion to justice is perfect for Lucien. All to say I’m so glad this was one of the first books few books I read.
