Quick read, nothing too deep. I think more time with the characters would have been nice. Jamie’s character felt  underdeveloped to me. Also a lot of repetitive bits which I normally wouldn’t mind or notice with a longer, less surface-level book. It was nice that there was the HEA ending but it was almost all too perfectly wrapped up so it never felt like there was any tension or any real stakes.

I’ve never wanted to sleep with somebody who reminded me of my brother.

I also felt it was a little shitty that
Jamie literally tells Rylan he’s ok with staying in the closet but the first time it ever comes up, he’s kind of a huge baby about it and walks back all that assurance. It felt immature and icky to me—manipulative almost—which soured their coming out for me.
