The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0
Overview: So I've seen this everywhere on bookstagram and I'll openly admit that after reading the blurb I knew it wasn't my usual type of read and wasn't convinced that I'd enjoy it. But that's what I love about this book community. It opens your eyes to so many different books! And this one was a wonderful surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was happy and sad and beautiful. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone! While I will always be a thriller girl at heart I'm so glad I read this book.
Good Points: Oooh where to start ... The writing was wonderful and really drew me into the story. I found myself wanting to turn the pages as quickly as possible. The relationship between Evelyn and Cecila was mesmorizing and sizzling. I loved it, but omg it broke my heart a little bit. I won't give anything away, but the ending came out of nowhere. I didn't see it coming at all. It was sad but also ... poignant ... and just ... I can't even put my thoughts into words!
I have nothing bad to say about this book. Not one thing. I've read lots of negative reviews and I respect each person's own opinion, but as for me ... I loved it!
