City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

3.0

When I began reading this book I enjoyed it immensely, particularly the portrayal of the characters and the general mystery surrounding them, particularly Jace and yet, as I became more and more immersed in the book, I found my jaw dropping further and further at what was enclosed in the pages. I found myself quickly attached to the protagonist in particular, Clarissa Fray, and various other characters in the book which is perhaps why I found myself so helpless as I read the last sentence and the realisation struck me as regards what I had just read. I sense that this series, if I muster the strength to continue it, will ruin my life.
