Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

3.0

I just couldn't connect with Camille, and not for lack of trying. She is a dark and twisted character, and while I love that about her, her tendency to close out everyone also closed me out.
I also found this book to be quite predictable.
Spoiler From the beginning, I had three suspects. It was Robert, Adora, or Amma. I was absolutely certain Adora was responsible for Marian's death. And, of course, I was right. I knew that either Robert, Adora, or Amma was responsible for Ann and Natalie's death, and was leaning toward the latter two, because I couldn't fit in Robert's motive.

After reading Gone Girl and being absolutely shocked by the twist there, I was disappointed to have figured it out here.
Spoiler I like coming up with crazy conspiracy theories in stories like this,
and as much as I like to be right, I love even more to be wrong.
