The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

4.0

This book was so wholesome. This book has been mentioned a lot on bookstagram, but I kept putting it off for no good reason. I'm so glad I picked it up though!

Writing style: Hoang writes fast paced, but makes it easy to follow/understand. I couldn't put it down and read it basically in one sitting. There's a certain addictiveness to her writing.

Characters: Micheal is an absolute cutie of course, you can't help but love him. And he's so supportive and patient with Stella. Gosh, he's perfect.
And Stella... She's autistic, and I recognized so much of myself in her. Not the math part, I hate math. But the no tags in clothes, no weird stichting, perfume/cologne being the worst, feeling pressure on your head when there's a lot of noise around...the little things that bothered her, bother me too. I really connected with her and that made this book very special for me.

Story: The plot follows your standard romance novel plot line, but I wasn't annoyed by that at all. It worked. The plot is really quite simple, but the characters make it so much more special.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm giving it four stars.
