On the Jellicoe Road
by Melina Marchetta
I listened to this on audio book, and I really don't think I would have liked it at all if I hadn't. The narrator has a thick Australian accent, and somehow that brings the books to life for me. The beginning of the story was overall confusing to me, and throughout the book was a bit over-dramatic for my tastes, but in the end, I really enjoyed it.
