Doc: A Memoir by Dwight Gooden, Ellis Henican

4.0

This was a tough book to read. As an avid baseball fan in the late 80s, I was a Doc Gooden fan, though never a Mets fan. Hearing exactly how messed up Doc was during those years, then, was a little heartbreaking. I'm a firm believer that memoirs especially should have happy endings, so the positive state of Doc's life today is encouraging.
