I’m so glad I read this book again, in anticipation of the release of the fourth book of the series. Returning to it, knowing in advance that it would not be told from the point of view of Dr. Elma York (as the earlier books of this series were), I was better prepared to accept it for what it is, instead of what I expected it to be.
